Icchey Gaon is approximately 5700 feet above sea level and is flanked on three sides by pine trees and on one side by Cinconha Plantation. From our balcony, you can see the dazzling lights of Namchi, Darjeeling, and Ravangla at night, while the morning sky is governed by Mt. Kanchenjunga, our guardian deity. Icchey Gaon is one of the few places in the Eastern Himalayas where you can see both the sunset and rising sun over the mountains. We have a diverse range of visitors at Icchey Gaon. First, there are the mountain lovers, who sit in a peaceful corner of our patio and sip tea while staring at the mountains for hours. Next, there is the prolific nature lover, who climbs in the pine forest and goes around the village, taking great images and sending them to us by post.
